The U.S. alone accounted for 10.3% of world agricultural imports in 2001


The U.S. alone accounted for 10.3% of world agricultural imports in 2001. The U.S. and Europe combined accounted for 57.1% of all agricultural imports. The U.S., Europe, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Israel combined accounted for 69.1% of all agricultural imports. By comparison, Africa accounted for 4.5% of all agricultural imports and South America for 2.6% of all agricultural imports.
